I can't pinpoint one that inspired me to write, I just always wanted to, but the book that inspired me to write MG survival stories was definitely Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. 🪓 It was the first book I got my reluctant reader brother to read and love with me.

Me too!!!! I'm an author, a photographer, and I have five kids... it's audio books on 2x speed or no reading for me!

YES! I have an 11yo who thought he hated reading but went all in when I introduced him to audio books. Now he doesn't have to choose between books and legos and we can bond over our own little MG book club.
