I’ll check it out thanks! I think I saw Jacob Geller talk about this in a video essay. I’m very much a lifelong “gamer”, I have a huge collection of retro games and play a lot of Nintendo/indie/vr stuff.

I would guess that it’s more simple, as in humans might have evolved to simply find structured novelty to be beautiful or aesthetically appealing. Rather than it matching up with the symmetry of an internal structure of the human body and the subconscious mind also somehow being aware of that.

tbh I only find things to be ineffable for a short period of time after the trip, I eventually always feel like I can describe the experience adequately. The words are reductive sure, but that’s the case with describing literally anything.

He’ll probably take a bit longer to be willing to give up his pool of twitter followers. I did at least, and I don’t have nearly as many in comparison.
