From early Spring. I took this when I was legally blind - kiddo pointed it out and brought the host pinecone up to my face so I could get the right angle. Hoping to be able to mushroom hunt properly and my own eye by next Spring!

I’m a bit of an audiobook fiend and I’m always looking for my next book. On occasion I’ll just pick a book that’s available without looking at any summary or reviews- hit or miss. This one was not something I’d have picked, but I really enjoyed it.

What an awesome day for a wintry hike.

I see what I think is a full piece of bacon on the floor. Unbelievable that either of these children would not eat the bacon. Wait. When did we have bacon? I pick it up. Must be fake bacon from the toy kitchen I’ve never seen? Fully stumped - until I see that the old chest has lost its handle.

I love writing utensils. Fountain pens, in particular. I ordered more of my favorite ink and was reminded how messy they can be - one cannot just receive ink without filling cartridges.

Monteverde’s California Teal: highly recommend. Also Noodler’s Habanero. So much fun to write with.

Went on a hike last week and happened upon these beauties. I wasn’t out mushroom hunting, but they gave me joy, so I thought I’d share.
