Our opponents are getting sloppy. The KCRCC also sent out their 2025 voter guide out with a 2024 date printed on it, & our opponent on this also ignored the word count limitations, and her statement was cut off mid-sentence.

Is that the kind of sloppiness we want on a LIBRARY board?

I received an award this weekend, a recognition, alongside some other folks whose activism, organizing, mutual care, and policy work I look to in awe and for inspiration. It's taken a little bit to process this, plus, you know, I still had two days of photography to finish! @atheists.org #AACon2025

Such a FEAST of books. I mean, seriously, this selection is just ridiculously decadent. See Alt for more.

We've set up a PAC to help campaign to Save Our Libraries.

Please consider donating!

Our BoT & Director put the lie to the "all about porn" claim by wanting books about racial violence & Indigenous Rights to be in a "smut room."

This is the 1st step of a multi-year effort.

And yes, absolutely, sometimes organizing is stuffing envelopes for a Library PAC's campaign fundraising.

I talk about book pairings like they're wine. I mean, I don't drink anymore, so that's as close as I can get. These two are making for a fascinating pairing.

We've set up a PAC to help campaign to Save Our Libraries in North Idaho. Consider donating!

Many of the books our CLN BoT want to put in its Smut Room have fuckall to do w sex. Instead they're Queer, Indigenous, or Black.

This is the first step of a multi-year effort.

The counter to diversity is uniformity. Dare I say, lockstep uniformity. Unity in diversity is a far different, nonbinary option.

My current staff recommendation pick: The Book Censor's Library by Bothayna Al-Essa, translated from the Arabic by Ranya Abdelrahman and Sawad Hussain. 😁

Reading these two books back-to-back is kind of a mind-fuck, but a perfect pairing.

A Well-Trained Wife: My Escape From Christian Patriarchy, A Memoir by Tia Levings

Dear Sister: A Memoir of Secrets, Survival, and Unbreakable Bonds by Michelle Horton

So, pretty cool thing: Just attended the very first Sunday Assembly in North Idaho/Inland Northwest. No, I had nothing to do with planning it. (Probably would be a bit more on Oasis model if I had.) We made paper cranes, it was fun. #SundayAssembly #NorthIdaho #InlandPNW
