So enjoy the next four years( hopefully only four) of Saul 2.0. Just don’t act surprised when it all blows up in your face.

For those with ears to hear… you’ve been warned.
February 24, 2025 at 11:28 PM
But just like in 1 Samuel, the warning signs are everywhere. And just like back then, most people don’t want to hear it. They’d rather have their “king.”

I mean, I get it. It’s easier to chase power than to practice humility. It’s more comfortable to put faith in a political savior than to actually follow the teachings of Christ. It’s fun to yell about “Christian values” while completely ignoring them.
February 24, 2025 at 11:28 PM
And yet, here we are millions of Christians cheering this on like it’s some holy mission. As if Jesus came to build an empire instead of a kingdom not of this world. As if our faith should be tied to political power rather than truth, mercy, and righteousness.

Encourages division instead of unity

Boasts about things that are the opposite of the fruits of the Spirit
February 24, 2025 at 11:28 PM
Because let’s be real nothing screams “following Jesus” like blind loyalty to a man who:

Spreads fear instead of faith

Lies with ease

Elevates himself over God

Worships power, wealth, and vengeance

Mocks his enemies instead of loving them

Now, fast forward a few thousand years, and here we are watching history repeat itself, but this time, it’s wrapped in an American flag, waving a Bible it never reads, and slapping the label of “Christianity” onto something that has nothing to do with Christ.

And they got Saul a leader who looked the part, talked the talk, promised greatness… but in the end, led them straight into disaster.
February 24, 2025 at 11:28 PM
And one day, you’ll cry out because of the mess you’re in but by then, it will be too late.

But did the people listen? Nope. They wanted a king so badly that they ignored every red flag. So God said, “Fine. If that’s what you really want, have at it.”
February 24, 2025 at 11:28 PM
And God, in His wisdom, warned them. He told them exactly what would happen:

This king will take more than he gives.

He will serve himself, not you.

He will exploit you, deceive you, and demand loyalty while caring nothing about righteousness.
February 24, 2025 at 11:28 PM
They weren’t interested in following God anymore; they wanted power, a strongman, someone who would “fight their battles” and make them great again.
February 24, 2025 at 11:28 PM
You’d think Christians would recognize the story. 1 Samuel 8 ever heard of it? You know, the one where Israel demanded a king because they wanted to be like the other nations?
