It’s snowing. A rarity in my city, so I took my 8th graders out for 90 seconds to just experience it and come inside to write poetry. I’ll share some of theirs as they come in, but here’s mine.

Raye’s Grammy performance was reminiscent of Fiona Apple, Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, and even Mariah Carey for a second. She landed like a meteor on that stage and had me wishing it wasn’t the first time I’d heard her. Wishing many hits for her.

Well, THIS should be interesting. One the one hand, folks don’t want cancer … but how many of them also think vaccines are evil, unsafe, propaganda, etc? Will those folks trust this president? Will folks who innately distrust him get this vaccine?
