OH AND I think it's okay to accept products (esp if you really want them) as a form of payment etc but you should have the choice and understanding that you can be paid for what you do also

also you absolutely SHOULD be paid for advertising. Even if it's an instagram / bluesky / x post and not a full dedicated stream/video. It doesn't matter your platform sizes because your rate will ofc depend on that, but you should still have a rate

I do find it interesting how a well known wearable blanket company went from paying creators regardless of sales, to "qualify for *store credit* when you reach 3 sales" after a free post advertising for them.
