If there’s one position on asylum that I would consider “unreasonable,” it’s the one the White House has adopted: namely, that any person, no matter what danger they have fled, can be summarily returned to the hands of their persecutors

The Supreme Court is effectively nullifying people's legal rights—and thus the rule of law. They did it with asylum; then the Convention Against Torture; and now birthright citizenship. Asylum really was the canary in the coal mine
