I hear your points, but Trump has shown that he is moveable when there is pushback. We need more protest, persuasion, and advocacy on climate right now. And there are other audiences to consider like Democratic leaders who should see a passionate movement that isn't giving up.

Per Politico: In 2023, Hortman helped pushed through bills that established Minnesota’s clean electricity standard, a green bank, subsidies for clean tech and electric vehicles, greater environmental justice provisions in permitting and a suite of other climate policies.

A friend of mine in Minnesota said that it is hard to overstate what she's mean to clean energy and climate.

When I made the Minnesolar documentary in 2012, she hosted a house party. Then we worked together to pass a solar energy standard and community solar bill that transformed Minnesota's clean energy landscape.

On the bright side, there are about 49% that are Alarmed, Concerned, or Cautious. So a persuasion campaign could make a difference.

Some lessons:
🏢 Business has a role in building public and political will for climate action.
💡 Americans need help connecting the dots between the fossil fuel industry and climate change.
💡 Business can use its market research capacity to build the climate movement.
