Now themselves representing nothing but an additional warning. That somewhere in there, in the shadows of this dark corner in the icy vastness of space…

Something deadly and terrible is lying in wait.

away.

Filled with the ossified corpses of literal super-humans that made the exact same mistake the Space Jockey made—and The Company is now making themselves.

And all paid with their lives for it.

Having ended up just like the fossilized giant in that lonesome chair.

to use this unfathomably deadly and uncontrollable cosmic horror as a weapon…just like the Engineers did on LV-223…and the Space Jockey long before them.

And now, the facilities stand as an empty and desolate tomb, hardly different from the derelict ship just one moon

makes the Engineers serve as both a foreshadowing of the fate of the Nostromo, AND a forewarning of the fate of The Company should they get their hands on so much as a single Alien.

The dead Engineer facility on LV-223 represents history repeating itself; The Company wants

#Alien thread:🧵(1/5)

Watching Prometheus with the headcanon that the Engineers were victims of the derelict ship from Alien makes it ten times more bone-chilling.

The idea that two thousand years ago they stumbled upon the same ship and fell afoul of its lethal cargo, suddenly

Feeling in a speculative evolution mood today, so Peter Jackson’s Skull Island headcanon:

Vastatosaurus rex aren’t actually descendants of T. rex…but instead Yutyrannus.

The Tyrannosaur Buck from ‘The Lost World: Jurassic Park’ would beat the Indominus rex in a fight, because I said so.

I’ll name FIVE:

-Laudna and Imogen Temult
-Ellen Ripley
-Samwise Gamgee
-Showa Godzilla

Came back to this and I realized something:

With this dream headcanon in particular, it means that via Laudna’s dreams Imogen can probably get the chance to finally do what she’s always wanted to do.

Kill Delilah.

If you see this, repost with a vampire that’s not Dracula.
September 15, 2025 at 5:27 PM
The fact that technically this was unintentional on the writers’ part because Laudna wasn’t fully concepted as a character at the time, yet the fact that Laudna’s resurrection was shown RIGHT after Sylas asks “what did you do my love?”

…LAYERED.

Fated, even.

Never fails to boggle the hell outta me that once, the phrase “lions and tigers and bears oh my” wasn’t hyperbole because all three used to actually coexist together in not only Asia, but even parts of Europe as well.

Until as recently as the 10th century.

Imagine that.

Animal-related question:

Similar to how Panthera atrox, spelaea and fossilis sharing a monophyletic clade as Panthera leo and therefore are still lions; do snow leopards share the same monophyletic clade as tigers?

I.E. despite not being Panthera tigris, are snow leopards technically tigers?
