The president shouldn’t have tariff authority. He shouldn’t have the power to control funding to vital government programs. The list is huge of what needs fixed to preserve the republic.

So make sure the president or an individual party doesn’t have the power to punish. The next time the democrats have power they need to eliminate any and all executive powers abused by Trump and make the presidency into 1/3 of what it is to prevent authoritarianism
