Physical explanation on why this occurs to airconditioned vehicles is that rate of diffusion is primarily proportional to the differences of concentrations between the indoor air and the outdoor air.

However, due to high concentration gradients and poor air quality, the pollutants outside will quickly diffuse into the vehicle.

Well, you gotta expect self-contradictions out of self-preservation.

As absurd that may sound, that's not actually the worst take of those who are "aggrieved" on the fact that they can no longer get away with traffic violations and unruly traffic behaviors.
