I also tried these Irises from a reference photo my sister took. I enjoyed it much more than my landscapes.

Tried my hand at landscapes. I am not crazy about the product or the process but it was a good exercise. Gotta push those personal boundaries.

The Strokes are underrated. Zero bad albums. Every song fits in its space on the album and they found a way to br faithful to their style and also evolve over two decades. They’re in pretty elite company.

I love a good hoodie. I enjoy images with religious symbols, either because I add them or just the iconography we all absorb in our Judaeo-Christian culture. This red hoodie with a cloud-like pillow behind fits into that group for me.

This one came out smooth and slow. I love landscapes but they don’t usually work out for me. So I painted a person and slid a landscape in behind it. Don’t tell my subconscious.

Here’s another one that came out of my head, with a heavy dose of inspiration from Botticelli. Different for me but a lot of fun.

As usual, this piece was largely light and emotion driven. The calm, sleepiness of this one pulled me in.

If there’s a better start to a movie than Raising Arizona, I don’t know what it is.

The background on this on and the colors are big steps forward for me, I think. I love these “selfie saints” because they’re not just me trying to copy something.

I’m calling this one. This is a picture I snapped of my oldest kid back when she was around two. We’d just finished reseeding our yard and she was covered in mud (which I may still add). I told her to smile and this is what I got.

This one ended up being my most stylized yet. Pretty happy with how it turned out.
