Have we done Platform Engineering in our Infra/Ops organization to boost our excellence of service? After we think that we are practicing Platform Engineering, is it making our Infra/Ops team happier?

If it says otherwise, then there might be something wrong. Or you should not have done PE first.

I like to think it as a recommendation of the plane's oxygen mask, where we are recommended to put one on ourselves first before putting to our families/friends. We need to save ourselves first, to be stable and secure, in order to do better in serving others.

And I would believe so does Platform Engineering to DevOps/Infra/Ops team. And for me, Platform Engineering is a mean for the Ops team to save themselves first as not to get burnout and able to address the requests from huge number of product engineers while keeping production services reliable.

As Theo mentioned, the Indonesia tech community is yearning for another offline gathering in meetup and conference after long hiatus from the pandemic so it was really nice to see both familiar and new faces 🙂
