But I can see that you don't want to like the game after a couple of playthroughs. You want to like it right off the bat. So, I respect your opinion.

It's a no-big-deal sort of thing for me, though, because all you have to do is get coins from guards or get the fine art around the area if you haven't already, and you're good. But it becomes a massive hassle in Sly 3.

Unfortunately, the game doesn't do a good job of explaining some things like the upgrade system and the fact you need to buy 2 upgrades to proceed through the game and it doesn't tell you until it's necessary. It doesn't let you go into the mission without it, thank goodness.

Some of the boss fights in the series are like that too. Clock-La, I can tell, can be very frustrating your first time.

But the more I played it over the years, the more I figured out certain patterns and strategies to get through missions either easier or faster. But I can see some missions, especially in the last half, getting pretty frustrating your first time through.

I think the thing about Sly 2 and also Sly 3, as a person who grew up with them, is that as I got older, I realized it's a game that can get frustrating and even at times BS your first time through.
