The trans community played a crucial part in the Stonewall Riots, and in the fight for equality. They deserve every bit of respect, not just from the gay community, but from the world at large. There is no LGB without the T. The National Park Service should be ashamed of themselves.
The National Park Service eliminated references to transgender people from its Stonewall National Monument web page, removing the “T” in references to LGBTQ+ on the official site for the Greenwich Village monument, which marks a milestone in the fight for gay rights.
