Ginger Mehan pursues Renae Hartwik through the corner store past a cheap pizza buffet, asking her to explain her principles on retail theft. Renae Hartwik sets her shopping basket on a nearby store counter next to a beverage machine, soda fountain, and begins to explain her research on the store, revealing it is actually corporate owned, not franchised. Renae Hartwik continues to qualify her justification by mocking Ginger Mehan for typically advocating against wage theft and wealth inequality. Darcy Savage side-eyes Ginger Mehan because she acknowledges Renae Hartwik's point. Ginger, annoyed, recognizes Renae's penchant for deflection in conversational sparring and does not look impressed.
