Animation and horror writer. I write silly things and scary things and sometimes I can’t tell the difference.
My kid asked how Darth Vader eats and now I’m enjoying the image of a little window opening in his respirator and him shoving a cheeseburger in.

Highly recommend Michael Arndt’s breakdowns of beginnings and endings. I had to pause partway through and pop over to my script because it helped me figure out exactly how to resolve a character arc in my horror feature.

A lot of kids songs are incredibly bleak when you drill down. B-I-N-G-O is just about a farmer’s beloved dog slowly fading away until he’s gone.

The way to combat AI in film and TV is to make the studios understand it as the existential threat it is. We need to start pumping out high quality, IP sullying imitations — Roadrunner going full Jigsaw on Wile E. Coyote, Minions cannibalizing each other, Mickey and the gang having sex with demons.

Went to Six Flags today with two kids too young for rollercoasters and 10 adults who aren’t into rollercoasters so I rode rollercoasters by myself all day.

The Substance maybe wasn’t the best movie I saw last year, but it was the best viewing experience I had. Really excited to see horror make such an electric appearance in the Oscar noms.

If everyone who’s ever died created a ghost, there’d be fourteen ghosts to haunt each person on Earth. So next time you’re enjoying a private moment with yourself, just remember your audience of fourteen ghosts.

Cary Grant is my favorite actor who just plays himself in everything but I don’t care because he’s so damn charismatic. Any other actors like that?

I’m still not ready to let go of spooky season and have been giving myself a steady drip of horror with the Magnus Archives podcast from @rustyquill.com. Fantastic cosmic horror you can enjoy in bite size chunks with a robust library of episodes. Will be sad when I finish it.
