I do think some of these extended scenes could use a "Hmm?" or a "Whoa!" every now and then because they feel kind of flat. But it's crazy to see people begging for both voice acting in Pokémon, and Pauline to please shut up lol.

Why can't all the jobs just be unlocked from the start? Why do I have to spend any amount of time as an Archer to become a Thief? How does Archer to Thief to DRAGOON make any sense? And why do I have to be a Geomancer for a minute as one of the requirements for Ninja? It all seems so unnecessary.

I don't think it's about communication at all. It's the same feeling as gambling on a slot machine, scrolling through dozens of videos until you land on one that gives that dopamine hit, and then just continuing the process. It's drug-less addiction at the expense of attention span.

Job systems in Final Fantasy are almost never as cool as I feel like they should be. This one in particular feels impenetrable to me, and very overwhelming. Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead, but right now I'm kind of like that robot that paused Tetris so it couldn't lose the game.

Answering the age old question of "how much HP do you lose when you stub your toe?"
It's none. I don't feel like there's any upper limit to stubbing your toe that can be reached that will cause to die lol. But, it would cause you to stumble, and become vulnerable in a fight.

So maybe some spells and skills are "kill shots," and landing them clean results in victory. But like, a partial success wounds them somehow, which allow them to be defeating by maybe something a little lower tier. Other attacks could also cause different effects, like staggering or something.
