5/ But there's one role PGA doesn’t list that defines many indie filmmakers: the Creative Producer. This is the person who finds the story, develops it, packages it, and makes sure the film actually happens. That’s real producing.

4/ Executive Producer (EP) can mean different things. For studios, it’s often an industry heavyweight overseeing the project. In indie film, it’s more likely a mentor, key investor, or even a seasoned Line Producer getting a courtesy credit.

3/ Producer (or "Produced By") is the person running the show—finding/developing the script, assembling the team, overseeing production, and handling post & marketing. This is the "capital P" producer most people think of.
