Is this the one? Spend a little too much time thinking about housing // transit // climate // cool maps. And not enough time learning how to garden properly. Member of the Montgomery County Planning Board, but all posts and opinions here are my own
* affordable in the lower "a" sense of the word. Relatively more affordable for many folks who could otherwise not afford a SFH in the same neighborhood

Rinse, repeat. And very little will change

Meanwhile, the DOT will spend enormous political capital - as will the local community + local electeds, just to get the initial study on the work program - for pretty mild results

We can and should do so much better than this

When this doesn't happen, we receive watered down spot treatments that don't address systemic issues

And when people demand more safety fixes in the future to address those systemic issues (which will happen), a DOT will have to spin up the ole eval machine again and repeat this very same process

Yea, just so so bad. Feels like we're running out of words to describe this stuff

For sure, and the other piece is just the mixture of fine particulate on roadways themselves that get kicked up by cars at medium to high speed

Resuspended roadway dust, a pretty big contributor to PM2.5. And yet another thing that EVs won't solve (and could make worse with their higher weights)
