Agreed. Also, the "they go low, we go high" strategy doesn't work which I think contributes greatly to this problem.

Not defending the Dems handling of it, but even if they did use it the media would have to also play along for people to give a shit. They just continually bought into the Bannon strategy (and still do) and I don't think any of it sticks without them running this stuff non-stop on the front page.
