I’m merely pointing out the reality that everyone driving a personal vehicle into a city centre is just not viable and we should be encouraging a modal shift. If you want to have a victim complex about it then I can’t help.

I would also argue that high frequency, high capacity public transport is good for business. If it easy to hop on a tram or a bus to the city centre then that’s really good for business! See Manchester.

We’re talking about making it easier to get into city centres on public transport. We have to reckon with the idea that it’s simply not viable or efficient for everyone to drive into a city. There’s simply not capacity
