What makes it even worse is that many of these shadow docket decisions are plainly in conflict with binding precedent they don’t purport to overrule, and sometimes even with other shadow docket decisions from just a few months earlier.

You can drive to Lockhart, walk right up to the counter and order somewhere better, eat, and drive back to Austin for half the time and half the price. Love Austin, but the performative foodiness of waiting in line 5 hours for
something good (not great) is one of its worst aspects.

Kind of wild how (even pre-Trump, I think) the media basically stopped noting whether any use of military force was actually authorized by Congress and most of civil society kind of resigned itself that the President can do whatever he wants there despite clear constitutional text to the contrary.
