To me, this seems like the cleaner ways to do a political game in games that don't support it directly in the rules. (i.e. d&d.) I wouldn't have dungeons, just social interactions and the combats. I think the way to make this work is to have the nobles/rich hire the PC's to fight for them

I’ve been to East a few times. I was at the first one, actually! I love video games but I think Unplugged is more my scene. Maybe next year!
