While there’s a couple of sore points (I’m disappointed in how the Post Falls mayor race shook out, and the fire levy failing because of that asinine 2/3s yes requirement hurts), overall I’m happy with the results. Especially Hayden of all places sending the KCRCC city council candidates packing.

But it speaks to Cheryl’s point that, even if Nolan despises this version of Bane, he benefits from it selling well because he’ll get royalties from any* version of the character, not just ones he approves of. The royalties on another 100,000 sales would be some consolation for his disdain.

I know there was some discourse about their crowdfunded Creative Suite project potentially being a vaporware hustle, but last time I checked, they’re at least claiming to be making progress, so who knows? 🤷‍♂️

I don’t think they’re an out-and-out scam, but the gulf between what they claim in their marketing hype and the actual quality of their products (along with their irregular shipping issues) kind of results in a vibe that can feel at least scam-adjacent.

I’m already one of work’s weird guys, of course, but that sort of specialization might be a bridge too far.
