So basically it doesn’t really match any other petition. Petitions were often written up by local scribes - the petitioner in this case is a Jew, the letter forms almost look a bit Hebrew because of the unusual spacing and squareness of the letters particularly on chastel, but I might be reaching.

Anyone recognise this hand it’s extremely unusual for a hand in a petition but it might be a mid 13th c. I’ve not come across.

I’ve got a theory of why it might be different but it’s a but out there.
