These are all I wear as well. I love their full-cushion boot socks for hiking and backpacking, as well as daily wear.
In almost ten years, I've only had to replace one pair of socks of the many I own. And that one snagged and tore on a piece of camping gear while backpacking.

That sounds like a story that would be fantastic to play, especially given your narrative style and the kind of story I dream of playing a Paladin in.
Their loss but also, I can see why that would frustrate and anger you given how little care it shows for your storytelling. You didn't deserve that

Good lord. I'd be pissed as a player at that table for the group missing out on that opportunity for story development.
