I think if I had just watched this at home I would’ve been completely lost (highway) but seeing it in a packed theater full of fans and hearing the cinematographer talk about it, I think I got much more out of it.

Was having similar thoughts rewatching Challengers last night. Yeah an April release gave it more room to shine but that had (understandably) fizzled nine months later. Same for Dune 2 in a way— I think that gets more than a perfunctory BP nom and some below-the-line with an October release.
