That would be the way someone would present an alien invasion, from a human perspective… Do you really believe that things that can traverse the cosmos would think the way we do, and have depicted in our media..? My point was the reality of the harshness of the prejudice and its prevalence is always downplayed in movies like this to make the whole era seem more wholesome and kinder than now. But it wasn’t…

It was a great movie, for telling their story. My only caveat would be that it probably didn’t accurately portray the actual amount of abuse they really received from the towns people and their co-workers. But Hollywood wanted people to still be able to tolerate watching it. Still a great movie!!!
