While archaic hierarchies cling to power, in #CDMX the leading international organizations working on participatory & deliberative democracy came together over the last days to build a stronger global movement to transform democracy. I think we’re on the right side of history.

I ❤️ that in the #CivicsWeek email to all school families, @NYCSchools @DOEChancellor led with a story of #ParticipatoryBudgeting empowering students to change their schools & the world. An experiment a few years ago is now standard practice.
