@flod I wonder if this is why the new profile UI is taking so long to release, because I cannot imagine an average user understanding this when they can suddenly create additional profiles more easily.

@flod yes, I enabled the new profiles UI in about:config to try this out. is it somehow related?

side note: Firefox sync with multiple profiles has been a nightmare 🫠

I also found this new setting… "Remote Improvements” they call it.

Defined as: "Remote improvements range from fixes to feature changes to Firefox. They are delivered remotely between versions and updates to make your browsing experience stabler and richer” […]

That message appeared when I tried to go to a link. And each time I tried to go anywhere, it blocked me.

Checking update settings, it's set to “automatic" as it has been forever.

I would argue forcing me to restart isn't an "automatic" installation. You can't just wait until I restart #firefox […]
