Politics, sports (#LFGM), urbanism, education, economic mobility. All opinions my own.
The most common flaw in reasoning re: what Dems should do is the assumption that any candidates with moderate, popular beliefs are faking it or sold out. Millions of Dem voters genuinely and authentically hold moderate, popular beliefs. Nominate candidates from that pool. @mattyglesias.bsky.social
“Just run on what’s popular” is the absolute emptiest and losing-est electoral philosophy. We’ve seen again and again that people respond to candidates with authentic beliefs and values. People like leaders, not weathervanes.

As usual, @mcuban.bsky.social is right. Back in 2020, we were honored to have him speak at the Dallas College commencement ceremony. If you’re in Dallas, a highly affordable two year experience at Dallas College that lets you go on to wherever your hard work can take you is the way to go. 👊🏼 👩🏻‍🎓
Should we continue to encourage kids to go to college ? Or push them to take up a trade ?

I believe in college. Learning how to learn, IMO, is a critical life skill. Being exposed to people of different backgrounds, makes yiu wiser

Qualifier- it should be a school you can afford.
