Woke up tired. Almost let it mess with my #Friday grind. I showed up anyway — Sometimes the energy comes after the effort.

Proud of myself for holding back during today's 5K and not letting my ego take over while dealing with a groin injury.
Still got my heart rate up and focused on my cardiovascular health. Major win!
Proof that honoring your limits can still lead to big wins. Ego off, intuition on! #diabeticfitness

Early race with friends today. We cheered, pushed, and crushed a PR!
Amazing what you can do when you've got people LIFTING YOU UP. Sore, happy, and reminded that teamwork makes the miles fly. #sunshinerun5K #diabeticfitness #strokesurvivor

Core workouts are like life’s tough moments. They don’t look like much from the outside…you lying there, barely moving but inside everything is shaking. You’re holding on for dear life, but you know your foundation is what keeps you standing when everything else wants to quit. #diabeticfitness

My coach challenged me to do an incline #farmerscarry on the treadmill holding 45 pounds every 30 seconds and walk for another 30. I made it to 8 minutes, but my phone only captured the first 15 seconds! 🤣
Is this what the farmer’s carry feels like at #Hyrox? #diabetic

the next time you're feeling down, or struggling to see the good in the world, remember the spectators at the marathon. Remember the voices that lifted you up, gave you hope. Remember that faith in humanity is not a concept, but a reality we can all experience, if we choose to
Imagine yourself as a runner, pushing your body to its limits, struggling to finish the race. And then, out of nowhere, you hear a voice. A voice that's filled with encouragement, with hope, and with faith. A voice that tells you, "You can do it! You're almost there! Keep going!"
April 16, 2025 at 5:01 PM
That was 5 years ago. Since then, I’ve run 1 marathon, 5 half marathons, an obstacle course, and rewired my mindset.
My weaknesses are my fuel. I stopped hiding from hard work and embraced the grind. Today, I don’t chase quick fixes - I build strength through consistency, clarity, and compassion.
From 230 lbs to 172 but the real transformation isn’t just physical.
I used to rely on fast food, late nights, binge drinking at bars, and popping diet pills chasing an easy way out. I was looking for shortcuts. The path led to diabetes and eventually a stroke - my wake-up call

In that moment, you feel a surge of energy, a renewed sense of purpose. You know that you're not alone in this fight. You're not just running for yourself, but for everyone who's cheering you on. And that, my friends, is the power of faith in humanity.
there's something truly magical about a marathon. It's not just about the runners, but also about the spectators lining the streets cheering them on. These people, from all walks of life, come together to show support, and in doing so, they remind us of the goodness that exists in the world.
