COMET #C2025A6 #LEMMON WITH ITS TAIL THIS MORNING in a stacked image of 35 images, 10 s exp.each. Despite the Full Moon interference, really beautiful green coma through the telescope in +6 mag. A pleasure enjoying this fascinating moment with my wife.

The coma is already about 10 arcmin wide, and +5.9 V magnitude. I share a 10 s exposure image where it compares with +3.1 mag. Tania Australis (mu UMA) M0 star. Description+charts to find it

Our astronomical association #AstroMontseny organized a #LunarEclipse public observation at Caldes d'Estrac, Barcelona, #Catalonia. We were just in front of the sea, but clouds covered most of the totality, but I made quite a lot of images through the 10 cm Schmidt Right f:4 camera on Sony A 6000 🤩

4) AN AMAZING DISCOVERY occurred casually at the Steinheim Meteor Crater Museum when they discovered a cm-sized piece of the projectile inserted into a large shatter cone in limestone. They identified the projectile excavating the crater as a stony-iron disrupted #pallasite

3) THE UPLIFT HILL near the crater center is consequence of the magnitude of the impact in which the central part rebounds shortly after the giant asteroid impact at hypervelocity. It is formed by an impact breccia: a rock strongly fractured and shocked with many types of clasts

2) SHATTER CONES made from #Jurasic limestone are common in a part of the crater. They are clear evidence of an extremely fast and powerful shock wave passing through the rocks in the area, deforming them in the characteristic way in which we can recover them nowadays 👇

ALMOST FIRST QUARTER #MOON TAKEN YESTERDAY before setting imaged from #MontsenyObservatory, #Catalonia. 1/10 s with good seeing with the Schmidt-Right camera over Sony A6000. Any colour treatment, just as it was captured. Look at the mountain details in the limb! 🤩🌛

#Meteoros: Un poco paradójico que sólo se hable de las #DeltaAcuáridas cuando las últimas noches asistimos a un significativo estallido de bólidos del enjambre de las #AlfaCapricórnidas y también comenzamos a ver #Perseidas. Podréis identificarlas viendo su procedencia en algún radiante en ls cartas
