Being a parent is really just the best gift life has given me. It’s so wonderful but also scary to love someone this much. I melt every time he smiles

This is precisely why they *always* attack education.

US history is the most gruesome horror story every created.
You really don’t need nobody else to radicalize you. You read enough World History you’ll get to that conclusion your damn self…

One of the most consistently neglected parts of today’s user experiences is our handling of errors. We’re so busy designing the happy paths through our products that we often forget to give the same care and attention to the times when things will go wrong

Quick #CSS #3D carousel on @codepen.io: codepen.io/thebabydino/...

Auto-rotates on load, but it can also be paused and navigated through via the buttons.

Minimal JS. All 3D is CSS. Heavily commented.

I've been saying I want this for so long :D . lbvs . I do a lot of functional fitness making myself useful around the house but doing some equivalents of what an exercise at the gym would do

First day of work for the year! I realize I don't get on platforms like Bluesky/Twitter when I'm off work. I think I've sorta associated them with work even though I'm not always writing about work or consuming work-related content.

The BlueSky/Twitter split feels like I'm living in a multiverse of madness. I keep wondering, will there ever be a sacred timeline (app) that everyone is on again? Is it just going to be this divided forever? Like we accept that we'll miss out on some good accounts over there

I remember when you could just buy a computer program like Microsoft Word or Photoshop and just have it on your computer forever without having to pay monthly or yearly. What a time that was

I love my life a lot more now than I used to a couple years back when I really needed escapism.

However, I could still use some immersion in fantasy and maybe an occasional escape of the realities of my laborious existence caused by the pursuit of financial freedom
I loved Tems’ response to someone who asked her why Afrobeats don’t touch much of the political situations in Africa. The genre is about escapism.

Even when listening to other genres, I really love getting lost in the fantasy of the melody

Last night I assembled 2 separate pieces of furniture. For the first I was like what kind of trash is this with misaligned assembly holes. I packed it up and took to UPS for return even though they’d closed. Next was such fine piece with good assembly instructions it made me crush on wood

Fun fact: If someone quotes a post of yours in a way that is unwelcome (as is commonplace on Twitter/X) there is a tool to combat the unwanted attention. Simply click the three dot menu on the quote post & click "Detach quote". This removes your post from their quote post. Useful to know, do share!
