Planning to seriously evaluate it for our org soon! Figma price has gotten out of hand

Every organization is different. If one side is behind, that means that side isn’t convinced that it’s a priority. A design engineer might be able to help because they have the technical know-how to make it work for the org + a mandate for design priorities. Doesn’t need to be an outside hire!

Didn’t realize this needed to be said but please don’t cold text/call for a job. That’s a personal boundary for most people.

Longer term: Good experiences will always need a human touch because they are used by humans. Use GenAI as a tool to accelerate your workflow and your learning. Focus less on how you will become obsolete and more on how you can become superhuman with AI.

Short term: While GenAI can be impressive, it still sucks at creating UI if you need to go out of bounds of boilerplate UI. Complex UI (or a complex context) is still hard.

Even with GenAI, you still have to understand the difference between good and bad output.

It’s a thing in SF for some odd reason to take shots of Fernet. I’m not sure anyone likes it. Feels more like hazing than anything 😂
