About a month ago I attended the wedding of two former students, now both in graduate school. One of them promised in his vows to be attentive, inquisitive, reasonable, responsible, and to love God and all that God loves.

The first chapter of my forthcoming Lonergan book is biographical, but Mathews is the best and most thorough for his early life (through Insight).

That's a great teaching moment! A student told me this semester how much she hated spiders. A few weeks later a large jumping spider chose her out of all of the students in class. I was able to gently relocate the spider, saving it from her wrath.
