The new table is finished and sits under the window in my office. Love it! The wood for the table tops is reclaimed cypress from the local Sears warehouse that was renovated in the 2010s. The Crosstown Concourse (as it is now known) has a woodshop in it where I built this piece of furniture.

I'm making great progress on the plant stand for my office. I should finish it up next week.
A two tiered plant stand in a spacious woodshop. Legs of walnut with contrasting heart and sap wood running up and down them. Horizontal tops made of a lighter colored reclaimed cypress wood. The design has a kind of Jetson's/modernist look to it.

Great example of how the two uses of "so-called" undermine each other. Is NBC being misogynistic by suggesting the language of "revenge porn" is improperly named (sense 2)? Or is it employing the common language used to refer to the less salaciously named crime committed by this perp (sense 1)?

I started a new table today using reclaimed cypress wood from what used to be the Sears and Roebuck warehouse (built in the 1930s) a couple blocks over from our house.
Two boards of reclaimed cypress wood, freshly planed with figured grain patterns (the right-hand board has abundant chatoyancy). The wood is lighter in color with red, brown, and blue bangs of grain. The table is pitted with holes where old nails once held them in place, leaving behind dark stains.
