God, this is such a good one.
For me, he lost it after Haunted, but the last one that blew me away was Rant. Liked that one a lot, but it’s hard to even touch the first 3. First time I heard of him was at a reading here in Spokane. I had no idea people could write about stuff like that. (He read his short story Guts).

The Beach, Invisible Monsters by Palahniuk, and (oddly enough) Stephen King’s Dreamcatcher were the big 3 that made me want to be a writer.
