UPenn 17’ | MD-PhD candidate (KU MSTP) Researching #epigenetics & #proteomics in the Workman Lab (Stowers) & Washburn Lab (KUMC).
I have met Senator Moran as he has been instrumental in growing the research community at the University of Kansas, esp its cancer center. Much of the instrumentation I have is due to funds he secured and we are putting it to good use. I may not agree with him in much, but he advocates for science!

First exposure was in undergrad using a QQQ for targeting synaptic proteins using a method developed by Matt MacDonald who trained with Chang Gyu Hahn and Ian Blair at Penn. Some of the Blair Lab people helped mentor me as well. Then I really learned it as a tech in Ben Garcia’s lab at Penn.
