As an American abroad, I gott say that this is dumb. Just be yourself and let people decide what they think about you based on your personal actions and presentations. Nearly everyone knows that the people of countries are different than those that hold the power.

I recommend Atomic Pinball in Wood River Illinois (outside of St. Louis) as a good place to flip. They have about 75 well maintained machines and it's BYOB.

I don't agree with what the State Department is doing, but if I was non-binary and applying for a passport right now I would tick whatever box gets results. Being trans right now with no passport is just too dangerous.
