3. Total Task Cost: This is a Rollup that sums the Cost property of all the tasks completed by a member. This lets us see the total cost a member has contributed to the project based on their Cost/Hour.

2. Tasks done: This property links the tasks table to the members’ table I created. Basically, it answers the question: Which tasks have this Member been assigned to?

1. Cost/Hour: This was one of the key reasons to switch to this system. After all, @apoonto’s hours (he’s a pro) don’t cost the same as mine (I’m just average!). It was super important that the hours each member logs on a task are multiplied by their own hourly rate.

Each Member has these properties, and each one can edit them independently from the others. Let me walk you through the most important ones:

From the start, I decided to replace the ‘People’ property (native to Notion) with a reference to a members’ table, where we could create a personalized profile for each team member. That way, what you assign to a task is an item from that list.
