BTW, I've also been tracking down and rereading these old faves from my childhood, and hoping to pass on some positive young wizardry to my students as well.

I see where the guy is coming from. And maybe he was totally right.
But also, I've been in a frame of mind today thinking about how the bullied and ostracized sometimes reflect and repeat that behaviour toward others.
This graphic novel I picked up for my class got me on the topic. Pretty great!

Definitely not the year it came out (I would have been four), but I remember flipping through the cassettes at a tiny store in the mall with some birthday money in my pocket.
