Today I received these plastic surgery before and after selfies and a note from this beautiful 55 year old patient of mine 1 year after surgery. She was worried about her dropping jawline, jowls, fallen cheeks and platysmabands.

I created an ear by carving cartilage I removed from his chest! This is a delicate process that takes about 4 hours. When I took his dressings down this morning and showed him and his mother his ear, he was excited, gave me a high five and mom cried.

I am super energized this morning after performing a pro-Bono cleftliprepair on a little boy in colombia! If you swipe right you can see he was less than excited on screening day but mom is super happy today!!! He will grow up a normal kid now!! It is a true privilege to take care of these kids.

Walking home from my office this morning after a very busy week, I couldn't resist stopping at Ladurée to buy some macarons for this weekend! It looks so festive inside; I love the little macaroon Christmas trees. Pistachio and salted caramel are my favorite flavors. Have you tried them?

Early morning inspiration at the Musée du Louvre viewing leonardodavinci exhibit before IMCAS - International Master Course on Aging Science. As a surgeon I need to merge art and science everyday and I am constantly studying to evolve my procedures and give my patients the best.

Yesterday, on my way home from my zoom webinar with the @Eafps I saw an enormous rainbow after the rain cleared. It gave me hope that better things are coming.

I love interacting with colleagues and discussing surgical approaches. Since I am off from work today, I have my shorts on, but business on top 🤪. This was my setup in my basement for the @zoom meeting! Lighting is critical and I put my computer on a microwave so it was the correct height .😀

What a great weekend I had with my colleague, friend and mentor Edwin Williams and his lovely wife. They flew in from their home upstate to spend the weekend with my family. Polo, great food and wine but above all the best company!!!

One is a microtiarepair where I created an ear for a child born without one by carving cartilage I removed from his chest. This is a delicate process that takes about 4 hours. The other picture of one of my favorite little baby girl I performed a cleftlip repair on last year.

So there is a story behind me wearing my nike running gear and my zegnaofficial favorite suit. I am having an amazing morning!!! I saw one of my post-op 4 day patients to remove her sutures. After, I got an 8 mile run. I got back from my run just in time to put on my shirt, tie and suit jacket.

I can’t believe I’m 56 entering my sixth decade of life. I am thankful for my beautiful family, friends, and patients for making my life so full. I look forward to approaching these next 10 years with more creativity, passion and curiosity than ever! I have so much more to explore, learn and give!

A brisk 7 mile run this morning on southamptonny in 30 degree weather was made so much better by this warm manofaran wool hat from #dublin I received as a Christmas gift from one of my patients from Ireland. I still remember when I took off her bandages she said “Holy Mary Mother of God.
