I find it quite odd that the FBI has found modern gambling in basketball but nothing in baseball or football.

I think I finally figured out why I hate cable news and even espn now a days. All they have are pundits on. Not experts just random people that give their opinions. Nothing to learn or even consider because they have no expertise in the issues they pretend to discuss.

Oh goodness. The WH pedaling secret economic data that no one has access to is just terrible today. That’s why I teach students that research is a systematic process that requires specific procedures and tasks. Failure to do adhere, means it’s not research.

Damn, those job numbers since March have been terrible. Like a petty child, he blames the messenger rather than his awful conservative economic policy. Reducing interests will help but won’t be able to the uncertainty that businesses are dealing with. It’s going to be rocky for a while.

I put my research to the side to focus on my baby for the summer. And it’s a great decision. :)

The US economy appears to be stalling from self inflicted tariffs and incoherent economic policy. Now the republicans want tax cuts for the rich again?! Let me guess, to accelerate growth that you stopped to begin with… Republicans clearly can’t run a business or government.

Who would have thought that blanket tariffs across all trading partners would be such a disaster… oh wait every actual economist did. This is embarrassing. 9 trillion in US market capitalization poooooffff.

Long week of teaching and getting back to writing once again. The current administration has inspired me to keep my research growing despite their attempts to pretend it doesn’t exist.

I had my co-worker join me for midterms. :)

So paper straws are the problem. Damn, you would think finding ways to reduce inflation and making cost of living affordable would be a priority? Then I remember…

Threatening the fed to reduce interest rates can be disastrous for housing market and inflation. Trump seeks short term growth reducing our long term prospects. He did this during his first term, and artificially held rates too low for too long leading to economic vulnerability.

How do I connect with other housing and stratification researchers on this platform?

Another reason why the stock market is a poor indicator on the health of the economy. The market declined with a strong jobs report because it wants lower interest rates instead. :/

I’m simply fascinated by the way compound interest works. For most, it’s actually a tool used against our finances via credit. But for a few it’s an opportunity to get ahead financially.

I haven’t played basketball in so long that my girl bought me hokas to run in for Christmas. They are so comfortable. :) I’m getting old. lol. :)

If the cost of housing outpaces income growth in LA, you would think that policy makers in LA would focus on driving housing costs down. It would help low and middle income families the most and drive local economic growth.

I kind of like the golden bat rule that the mlb is proposing. I want to see the best players in high leverage situations. :)
