Apparently, Quest 64 is one of a handful of N64 games (like Majora's Mask) to be recompiled and get a early PC port, so it may even have modding support soon.

People only really started to get mad at it when they perceived potential threat to their jobs, which is what I think this is really about. However I can see this technology being more integrated into what an artist "is". It's possible attitudes might change on it then.
