Here, the recordist, when editing, added an introduction, playing the radio presenter; sometimes together with his grandchildren, out in the field; a private attempt at radio play. Great for me to play with.

How does preserve the present for the future? When Wilhelm Schmidt took his tape recorder to the opening of Gropius Stadt, preserving a speech by Willy Brandt, he captured local history. What sort of present does a sound piece create, that is based on the past?

We opened Neo-Pastorale at Kunstverein Neukölln, Berlin, yesterday. Marte Kiessling, Heiko Sievers and Margund Smolka presented their artificial nature, that I curated. Someone heckled my introduction: thanks everyone for the great opening
