> Humans will continue to work on architecting systems, making design decisions, and understanding business requirements and translate them to technical specs. There will be new tasks, a lot of reviewing and maintaining LLM-generated code.

That's the tricky part. Code needs to remain human readable

dspy.ai I am not 100% convinced natural language is the best UX. Some formality might make sense.

Cost of tests indeed really dropped quite a bit. It's hard to justify not writing tests.

NIH is indeed more attractive. Especially because, LLM are not always super aware of libraries. But maintenaince, debugging, security concern still apply.

I would say that, despite context window, locality still matter. If you try vibe coding in c++ for instance, it is less effective, because information is split between .h and .cpp. It might be true that LLM have bigger context than human, but it is not a footgun. Local knowledge still wins.

It might be more beautiful than it is credited to be.

And yet ai is value. It is art. It is humanity. It is a tool that pushs us forward. I know I sound like a tech bro saying this. But despite everything I believe that.

The darkest timelines is a total wipe out of tertiary sector in Europe and us. It is an insane creation of value that is not fairly redistributed. It is anger against that and rise of fascism as a channel of anger. It is war. It is death.

The philosophy of software development in Terrateam is focused around one thing: semantics. What do things mean? Whenever we develop a feature, make a change, we think deeply about the semantics of the change. By understanding the semantics, you can create a cohesive and robust piece of software

I can't help to come back to this picture. Ai had to delete the background woman. It's distracting. It reduces the composition strength.

Does it though? In my opinion the background is why I took this shot.
Ai deals with average.

Was watching murderbot, and it is a terrific show. In some way it is a show about autism or similar, but it also reflects on human robots interaction. It feels like that talking with an LLM.

And maybe it shows aspiration of ai to be more human. But it isn't. It's ai.
