Not surprised at all about South Africa. I have friends there. Blackouts are a regular thing, ageing coal power stations being the (main?) cause.

Shocking but not surprising. Just read about it this morning in my own newspaper. From what I read, Elsevier should be applauded for taking the initiative, a number of years ago, to combat conflicts of interest in their scientific journals. Of course the people who dug in deep and uncovered this too

Die wolven zijn vanzelf gekomen. Een betere conclusie lijkt me dat er geen plek is voor koeien die onbeschermd in de natuur rondlopen. Survival of the fittest heet dat. Waarom is er nog geen herdershond, is mijn vraag dan ook.
